Obituary
Angela Edith Jones departed this life, Sunday, January 14, 2024. Angela was born July 21, 1955, the daughter of Warren L. Tilley and Elmira Spriggs Tilley.
Ms. Jones was a dedicated educator for more than 40 years, having begun her career in the Baltimore City Public School System and moving on to the Howard County Public School System for the majority of her career where she worked as a language arts instructor at Harpers Choice Middle School.
Angela gained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland College Park and her Masters Degree from Coppin State University. She was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and is survived by her beloved daughter, Heather, son in law Kristian, and the light of her life, her four-year old granddaughter, Morgan. Also surviving are her brother, Warren and wife, Lynda, her sister Safiya and husband, Bryan, many loving and devoted nieces, nephews, and faithful friends, in particular her former childhood neighbor and lifelong friend, Beverly.
Friends extend their condolences to the family at the Howell Funeral Home, 10220 Guilford Road, Jessup, Maryland 20794. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
