Obituary

Princess Mrs. Angela Ehi Abuede, formerly Princess Miss Angela Ehi Okojie, was born on the 15th of January 1967 to the family of the late Prince Eselebor Okojie and the late Princess Mrs. Ohehenmen Okojie. She was born in Uromi, in the Esan North East local government of Edo State, and had her primary and secondary education in Uromi. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Girls Grammar School, Uromi, where she obtained the West African School Certificate.

Princess Angela gained admission to the then Bendel State University Abraka campus, now Delta State University, to study Mathematics. She graduated with flying colors, earning a B.Sc. honors in Mathematics. She was posted to Lagos State for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). After her service year, she started her career with the defunct Comet Merchant Bank Limited in 1992, serving in various departments. Princess Angela met her husband while working with Comet Merchant Bank, and they got married in April 1993.

Princess Angela relocated to the United States of America with her husband in 1997. While in America, she became an IT specialist, working with the Maryland Board of Education. She then went on to become a software engineer with C.S.C. From then on, she worked in various IT roles, making a heartfelt impact everywhere she worked. Her quest for knowledge was unparalleled, as she took different courses in her career, always learning and relearning.

Princess Angela’s selflessness and dedication to service knew no bounds. Her generosity was contagious, and her legacy could be summed up in one word: love. She had a certain adaptability and unwavering devotion to her family that was truly incredible. Princess Angela was blessed with two wonderful children, Princess Ehi and Prince Alende Abuede Udegbe. In them, you could see key characteristics of their mother, with Ehi being detail-oriented, passionate, and friendly, and Alende carrying on her resilience, hardworking ethic, and genius mindset.

This remarkable woman leaves a legacy of love and devotion that will forever inspire us. Her life’s journey with love, resilience, and service will remain a shining example for future generations. We honor Princess Angela, a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, and we celebrate her incredible impact on all our lives. May her memory continue to bring us strength and warmth as we remember the extraordinary person she was.
