Obituary
On Christmas Day, December 25, 1949, in Ringgold, Virginia, Lawrence Randolph Wilson was sent as a Gift from God to Rev. Woodrow and First Lady Louise Wilson. He received his secular education in the Pittsylvania County School System.
In 1968, Lawrence married Shelia Dale Deshazor and 1 son Lawrence Maurice was born to the couple. The family then relocated to Baltimore, Maryland. In November of 1977, they visited Trinity Apostolic Faith Holiness Church, under the Pastorate of Bishop Lois C. Grant. The Spirit of God moved in a mighty way and both Sheila and Lawrence accepted the Lord Jesus as their Savior. During that time Lawrence was Sanctified, Baptized, and Filled with the Holy Ghost and then called to Preach the Gospel. In 1980 Brother Lawrence accepted and acknowledged his call to the ministry and preached his Initial Sermon. Minister Wilson was licensed to Preach the Gospel and aspired to greater knowledge by studying with Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois.
Minister Wilson served faithfully at Trinity as an Associate Minister, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, and Choir Member. He also traveled monthly to and from Danville, Virginia to assist his father Elder Woodrow Wilson in establishing Blessed Trinity Church. In 1985, Minister Wilson and his family were led by the Spirit to move their membership to the Baltimore Tabernacle Of Prayer under the Pastor Of Elder Benjamin Brown and Overseer Johnnie Washington.
Promotion from God came in 1987 under the Pastorate of Pastor Nathaniel Edwards, Minister Wilson was ordained an Elder by Overseer Ira Davis. After receiving the call to become a Pastor and the Spirit revealing to his wife. Evangelist Shelia Wilson a vision for New Jerusalem Pentecostal Holiness Church, Inc. The couple conferred with Pastor Nathaniel Edwards the vision and received his Blessing. In 1995, Pastor Nathaniel Edwards installed Elder Lawrence Wilson as Pastor of New Jerusalem Pentecostal Holiness Church, Inc. until he retired in 2018 due to failing health. Next is This was fulfilled the scripture, “And I will give you Pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15

He is survived by his wife Evangelist Shelia Dale Wilson and one son Maurice Wilson (Joyce) of Baltimore, Maryland. Also, to this union, are three Granddaughters De’qwanna, Monice, and Diamond. Six Great grandchildren-Marques, Mekhi, Paul, Peyton, Parys, and Paige. 2 Sisters-Minister Annie Johnson, and Missionary Christine Thaxton (Minister Roger Thaxton) Two brothers Elder Herman Wilson (Minister Marion Wilson). Deacon Lewis Wilson (Sonya). One Sister-In-Law Mildred Wilson, and two Brother-In-Law John Valentine and Terry Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews, and family members. In addition to his parent, he was predeceased by two sisters Mattie Jackson and Pastor Carolyn Valentine; and two brothers, Deacon Benjamin and Charles Wilson
